Paul J. Sinderbrand, Senior Counsel

Paul J. Sinderbrand has been practicing communications law since 1978, specializing in issues involving emerging spectrum-based technologies (licensed and unlicensed) and the development of the Internet of Things.  Mr. Sinderbrand represents equipment manufacturers, wireless broadband system operators and domestic and foreign investors in American communications companies.

Long Bio  |   Mr. Sinderbrand appears before the FCC, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, the Department of Justice, the Department of State, and federal and state courts.  He regularly assists clients in connection with the FCC’s rules governing the authorization of radiofrequency equipment and the allocation and regulation of licensed and unlicensed spectrum.   Mr. Sinderbrand crafted the industry coalition proposal that led to restructuring the US 2.5 GHz regulatory regime, and played an active role in the development of the 2.3 GHz, 3.65 GHz, 5 GHz and the millimeter wave bands above 24 GHz.  In addition, he frequently provides transaction support for clients implementing spectrum leases, asset and stock acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures and financings.  He also represents emerging wireless service providers in access, franchising and zoning disputes with local governments and is experienced in the development of wireless communications regulatory schemes for other countries.
